There's a thing about traveling, you keep arriving and departing, arriving and departing. The day stretched from green fields and horses, then dashing past familiar faces in town - their waves hello like the Queen smashing champagne against my hull - to cityscapes full of the Primarked masses, and then the nothingness of airports, the found comfort of a good book shop, via a very long time in a restricted space with Mr. Hyperactive head-banging the back of my seat, and then to a very warm 1am in the morning Cyprus.
Well i've arrived finally at base camp, we are parked totally mainland in Nicosia, the last divided city. (miles from the blooming beach mate!)
The team are arriving, faces, surprises, delights, and mysteries.
Tomorrow should kick start some proper work, and 24 hour internet access.
Today i'm in a dark internet cafe mainly full of young Greek types, mainly smoking and banging digits. This entry is brief due to minutes v.s tasks, and there is much to reflect on.
I've taken a few photos of sunny Cyprus, somehow my eye seeks and finds images of fences, boundaries, limits, and the view beyond.
There's a drought here, and water shortages. I'm drinking gallons and pissing none. The landscape is desert despite much tree planting.
Project wise, there is alot to be done, and many mysteries yet to unfold, like where will the ship depart from... and exactly which day.... and exactly who will be on the ship.
People wise, I am humble amongst these experienced and brave creatures. I wish they got my jokes more though. I have been intending to be funny.
